Step Four: Making a connection in terms of existing parish members.
The key to connecting to the Latino/Hispanic community may already be present in the local parish since you may have members who already have a relationship with the Latino community through their work. Folks who may fall in this category are teachers, social workers, doctors, and pediatricians. Remember, these are individuals who engage the Latino community and have fostered trust because of the nature of their work. Be sure to discuss with these folks and include them in your engagement plans and work.
